Concentrate your attention on some dot of the ornament, and try to as if bisect your glance, carefully shifting one eye to any point of the next ornament. When distinct lines of the picture become blurred, "smearing" the picture, you will feel that it extends deep down and in breadth, opening to eye earlier invisible space.
If you are viewing the left picture of the stereo-pair with your left eye, and the right one - with your right eye, you will have to slightly pull apart your eyes (divergence), but as a human being cannot pull apart his eyes more, than to a certain limit, one can view with the help of this method only small stereo-pairs, located at the distance of no more, than the distance between the pupils (of the eye) (about 65 mm).

Another method is to rearrange the pictures of the stereo-pair - the left one in place of the right one, and the right one in place of the left one, and to examine the stereo-pair, squinted your eyes to the nose bridge (convergence). As in this case there are no physiological limitations to eyes squinting (you can get persuade in this, examining you nose point with both eyes), then there are no limitations to the size of the stereo pictures as well, which could be viewed without the loss of stereo effect.
This method (let's call it inverse) is ideally suitable for the viewing of stereo-slides on the computer monitor, and that means, for the Internet.
The left picture of a stereo-pair is located on the right, and the right one - to the left. In order to facilitate obtaining of stereo effect one can use a frame made of hands, by locating them so that the right eye could see only the left picture on the monitor, and the left one - the right picture. The other method is to use a finger as a foresight of a gun, by closing your right eye, and to aim with your left eye to the center of the right picture, and then to do the same thing to your right eye and, selecting the distance from the point of the nose to the finger get sure that both eyes are focused correctly. For obtaining stereo-effect for the first time you might need some time (some will need a minute, other people will need half an hour). But then, having obtained stereo-effect once, you will be able to do it then almost immediately, and without any auxiliary equipment.

If you caught the effect in the tuning table, then you'll be able to examine any stereo photos made by inverse method, and even to watch stereoscopic movies. Having caught the stereo-effect you will notice that the longer you peer into it, the picture is becoming more volumetric, the more details show up, and at minor movements of your head the motion in the picture appears as well.
